Squarelings is the currently available choice here for a local, online or mixed group. VEKARRA’s previously listed two-player demo was unavailable at the latest check.

Four to twelve friends, together or apart: Squarelings
Squarelings combines online co-op, local co-op and a mixture, including local players joining an online lobby. There is no automatic matchmaking, so bring an organised group rather than expect the game to assemble one. These advertised modes were checked on 25 October; the demo download was rechecked on 27 October.
The shared problem changes between platforming, spaceship shooting, arranging ingredients and making a picture. One player’s failure means the group fails, so coordination matters even when the controls look simple.
At the mode check, BlueWell Games advertised 11 demo levels, compared with 50 planned for the full game. Its one-to-two-hour estimate is not a promise about your group’s pace. Bring at least four players.
VEKARRA: the previously listed demo is unavailable
VEKARRA gives you one party of four heroes, with enemy attacks charging on a shared combat clock and time stopping for your choices. Its earlier demo description split the party between two local players, with two heroes each.
Availability update · 27 October 2026: the main Steam page no longer offered a demo download, and the exact former demo listing redirected to the Steam homepage. It is therefore excluded from the active finder and from the current co-op demo choices. The reason and duration of this change are unknown.
At the 25 October check, the developer advertised Act 1 with solo play or a two-player local mode. Two-player online co-op belonged to an Early Access plan, while four-player co-op and PvP were later full-release plans. These are dated descriptions of the earlier offer, not modes you can currently download from that demo listing.

A few details before you invite everyone
The Squarelings exact demo listing identified Windows support at the earlier detail check. This is not a cross-platform compatibility guide: the main game’s platform list does not automatically describe its demo. Local play also does not establish an offline guarantee.
VEKARRA describes a broad AI-assisted content pipeline under human direction. Squarelings combines a developer-described Codex implementation workflow with disclosed AI-assisted 2D assets and music. The availability correction does not change those production descriptions; neither establishes a production percentage or makes every game wholly AI-made.
