In Your Hands builds its mystery around a child with no memories and a loudspeaker issuing orders. Its point-and-click and visual-novel structure makes choices central to the unfolding story. The developer advertises 38 endings, giving the player several ways to discover what the situation means.

The interesting production story is the division of work. The Steam disclosure identifies AI-generated illustrations and in-game art, subsequently edited and composited in Photoshop. It also describes six Suno-generated music tracks and two short generated cinematics. These are substantial parts of the presentation rather than an incidental translated menu.

The same disclosure explicitly credits human writing: dialogue, narration, choices and ending text. It also identifies licensed sound effects, five additional background tracks and fonts. It would therefore be inaccurate to describe the whole game as fully AI-created. The useful question is how those different contributions meet in the finished work.

Steam currently lists a 6 October 2026 release. This is a different starting point from an unfinished demo. Its dark story includes a child in war and themes of violence and death; check the store’s content description. Generated assets are prepared before shipping, and the developer says there is no live AI generation or external AI-service connection.

THE PRODUCTION, SPECIFICALLY

Where AI fits

AI-assisted work
Illustrations and art, six music tracks and two short cinematics; generated work is selected, edited and composited before shipping.
Human contribution
Dialogue, narration, choices and endings are written and revised by the developers. Other music, sound effects and fonts include licensed assets.

No percentage of AI authorship has been independently established.

Reading, choosing, then returning

The developer describes a deliberately slow horror story: no chases and no time limit. You examine the room, read and make choices. A first ending is a route through the story rather than a complete explanation.

Reached endings remain in a gallery with a table of contents, while the empty slots show what remains undiscovered. The developer estimates about 30 minutes for one run and about three hours to collect nearly every ending; these are developer estimates and individual playtimes can vary.

For readers weighing accessibility, the store lists adjustable text size, a dialogue log, auto-advance, sound-effect captions and an option to disable screen flashes. These are specific listed controls, not an assurance that every access need is covered.
