JAMFERENCE HACK 1 / THE WINNERS

Cats, robots and one movement-only rule: Jamference Hack 1's winners

A cat's stretching paw, a robot vacuum carrying stolen breakfast, and a mech with a feline passenger: Jamference's first AI game jam turned one theme into very different games. The challenge paired Cat and Robot with Movement Input Only. Its results list 36 entries and 349 ratings across 32 games. These are the jam's results, rather than awards selected by AIM.

AIM diagram of the overall top three: Neko Night Market, reach and carry; RoombaCat, collect and bank; MEOWCHA, separate cat and robot. This is not game footage.
AIM’s original route through the top three overall results. Watch the creators’ games in David Geisert’s original recordings below.

First overall

Neko Night Market

By sykoramade

A stretchy paw reaches around a crowded shop to collect orders and deliver them before customers leave. Carrying more items raises the stakes: the page allows up to five, while shelves, clutter and the restocking robot complicate the route. The developer credits Claude Code and Suno with execution, and sykoramade with the concept, sketches, design and music editing. It is a browser score-attack game controlled with the mouse.

Neko Night Market gameplay: a black cat’s extended paw winds through shelves toward orders, with score and waiting orders visible.

Second overall

RoombaCat

By Santo

Lupin the cat rides Otto the vacuum to collect breakfast crumbs. A fuller bag is more valuable and harder to steer, but only food returned to the stash counts. That makes a short run a choice between another drift around the room and banking what you have. Santo credits Claude and Codex with scripts that generate the sprites, floor, portraits and audio, while retaining direction, design and playtesting. The project uses a software Mode 7 floor and deliberately constrained retro graphics.

RoombaCat gameplay: a cat rides a robot vacuum across a tiled room, with timer, bag meter and banked calories visible.

Third overall / first for Polish

MEOWCHA

By funkyApe

The cat can leave its robot through a rear hatch, reach places the heavy machine cannot, then climb back aboard. Parking the robot matters: it can hold a plate or block a hazard while the cat moves elsewhere. The current page describes nine levels and requires a desktop keyboard; gamepad support is experimental. Claude Code handled code, text, levels and programmatic pixel art under funkyApe's direction and testing. The credits also identify generated images and music alongside third-party audio and effects, so this is not a claim that every asset was AI-made.

MEOWCHA gameplay: a ginger cat stands outside the rescue robot beside a closed gate, with a dialogue panel and level interface visible.

Two category leaders beyond the overall top three

Kitty Kingdom

Kitty Kingdom, by jam host David Geisert / dg, led Fun and tied fourth overall. Move the king to build and defend a cat kingdom against robots. Its submission credits Claude for art, code and sound effects, and Suno for music.

Sudo Meow

Sudo Meow, by QuantumWhisker, led Use of AI and also tied fourth overall. A cat walks on a keyboard to give a robot instructions. Its production disclosure describes Claude-assisted design, code, SVG art and synthesized audio; a small locally running classifier is an additional gameplay system, not the sole AI contribution.
